IT TECHNICIAN II

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Brandywine Bookmaking LLC a new Race and Sport Book Management Company is expanding in the Nevada marketplace. With locations across the state, we offer an excellent opportunity for participation in an exciting gaming company.  Brandywine Bookmaking’s corporate headquarters is located in Las Vegas, with operations located in Reno.

Our objective is to offer the best race and sports wagering experience available.  We will do this with a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail. Brandywine Bookmaking’s executive team is second to none. We are looking for two (2) dynamic, motivated IT Technicians to help complete our team by providing daily general corporate helpdesk activities support, in-field wagering equipment troubleshooting and issue resolution, corporate network and application troubleshooting and issue resolution.  One will be based out of Las Vegas and on in Reno.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in  networking, routers/firewalls PC/Printer/Software/Hardware troubleshooting, cabling,, computer , server install, backup/disaster recovery experience, exchange/email support, effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills, as well as an understanding of the regulatory requirements in the Nevada gaming industry.

DUTIES:

The position of IT Technician is responsible for responding to the needs and questions of users concerning their access of resources on the corporate and gaming network.  Assure the timely response and resolution of problems and issues with the end user.  Determines appropriate action based on established criteria for problem resolution.  Coordinate Help Desk service request with the Director of IT. Maintain appropriate record and resolution of customer inquiries.  Maintain a professional manner when dealing with end users.  Escalate complex problems to senior level employees.  Assure compliance with all policies and procedures, as well as, all applicable gaming regulations.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

*High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of five (5) years or more of computer and peripheral equipment phone support to include technical troubleshooting or related experience; work related experience of a technical background in LAN/WAN information resources, products or services. Work related experience should consist of analysis of issues concerning PC hardware and software problems.

*Basic knowledge of related gaming compliance regulations, and other gaming operational policies is preferred but not required.

*Basic skills in personal computer operation; mainframe computer and word processing and spreadsheet software, (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

*Typing skills to meet production needs of the position.

*Excellent phone etiquette.

*Demonstrated skill in trouble-shooting software/hardware related issues i.e., password lockout, physical relocation of hardware, etc.

*Ability to resolve issues relating to network, routers/firewalls, desktop PCs/Printers/desktop Software/Hardware troubleshooting, cabling, , server installs, backup/disaster recovery, exchange/email support.

*Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.

*Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.

*Ability to deal with technical problems involving multiple facets, variables and situations where only limited standardization exists.

*Self-starter, capable of working in a self-directed mode.

*Effective organizational and time management skills.

*Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.

*Ability to drive to multiple locations

*Travel is required 10% of the time

 

COMPENSATION: Starting Salary Range:  $45,000 - $55,000
