Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques and service delivery of all items in the menu, as well as all retail items
Direct guests to interactive food sections, presenting an array of tempting delights where they may indulge their cravings
Enlighten the guests of all exclusive products carried, giving the right description
Take and input orders into POS system, receive payment and make proper change, complete required transactions, and categorize tendered receipts by media type
Prepare and serve food and beverage items to guest as necessary
Actively greet guests within 30 seconds in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome
Convey a friendly and approachable attitude at all times
Package cookies, candies, specialties, chocolates, confectionery in a professional manner to allure guests in purchasing it
Effectively communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees
Acquire all the ingredients of menu items to be certain for guests who may have allergies
Exhibit knowledge of retail pastry for weddings and other special occasions
Communicate in a professional manner with co-workers about food orders
Pack the orders as per guests’ preference and completing the order with any necessary condiments
Anticipate the guests’ needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency before leaving the counter
Bid farewell to guests, using guest’s name when known, and encourage them to return
Perform all opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
Refill viennoiserie, pastries, gelato, ice coolers, reach in beverage coolers, reach in pantry coolers and condiment drawer
Stock the front line with supplies necessary for service
Transport stock from remote storage location
Clear tables and counters, sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area without interfering with the comfort of guests
Maintain the cleanliness and the appearance of the back area and all storage areas
Ensure all products are rotated on a first-in, first out philosophy
Retrieve pastries and finished products from the production area
Use and clean equipment including juicers, coffee makers, toasters, Panini machines, blenders, soda machines, ovens and steamers
Properly label all retail items
Assist with inventory of all products
Maintain stock volume by restocking the sales floor, receiving, unpacking and putting away deliveries
Ensure all requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
Follow the Department standard in opening and closing the outlet
Follow the Department policy on cash handling
Work as a team, assisting all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries
Other related duties as necessary
Qualifications:
Required:
At least two years of experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast paced restaurant environment
Basic computer skills and experience with POS systems
Working knowledge of different types of tendering guest checks and register functions
Knowledgeable about food and able to confidently speak on and properly serve such items
Knowledgeable about health and safety regulations
Ability to use standard kitchen equipment, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators/coolers, slicers, beverage machines
Positive attitude, self-motivated, energetic and a willing learner
