The primary responsibility of the Engineer-Kitchen to maintain and repair kitchen equipment, refrigeration units, and plumbing and beverage equipment of all makes and designs throughout the property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Specific Job Functions:
Performs repairs on all kitchen equipment in building
Moves, lifts, and replaces kitchen equipment as needed to complete repairs
Finds and determines source of power and gas issues using voltmeter or gauges
Safely operates scissor lifts, forklifts, and other industrial equipment to complete perform repairs
Maintains effective communications with management and co-workers when completing assigned tasks
Displays proper etiquette and protocol when using two-way radio
Works under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner
Drives/Operates company vehicles to travel between MGM MIRAGE properties and motorized carts to travel within property
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
At least five years experience in refrigeration
At least three years experience performing commercial kitchen repairs
Able to communicate in English, both written and verbal
High School diploma preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Working knowledge of natural gas equipment controls, steam and electric kitchen equipment, and industrial controls preferred
